Why Jo exists

There's a problem with AI. And it's not the one you think.

The problem isn't the technology. It's here, it works, and for the most part it's even free.

The problem is that between that technology and you, there's a wall: the experts' jargon, the media's panic, and the promises of the get-rich-quick crowd.

The result: millions of people — students, employees, parents, freelancers, retirees — watch the train go by, telling themselves "this isn't for me".

It's not true. And Jo exists to prove it.

What we do

We test the tools. We read up on what's changing. We sort it out. And we translate all of it into plain language, with hands-on missions anyone can do — no degree, no technical background, no feeling out of your depth.

Not theory to impress people in meetings. Reflexes for your real life: your emails, your documents, your studies, your work, your projects.

What we believe

  • Understanding the world we live in is a right, not a privilege. AI must not dig a gap between those who know and everyone else.
  • If you don't understand, it's our failure, not yours. Hence the plain language, the subtitles, the "explain it like to a friend" approach — everywhere, all the time.
  • Trust isn't declared, it's written down. That's why we published The Jo Contract: our commitments in black and white. You can hold us accountable for every line.

Where does the name come from?

Jo is a first name. The name of the person who created this project — someone who's neither a guru nor a computer genius. Just someone who, one day, felt out of their depth, took the time to understand, and decided to translate it for others.

The spark came from watching a loved one — perfectly capable in their own life — convince themselves they were "too old" or "too hopeless" for AI. A few simple explanations later, their fear vanished in one go. That flip — going from "this isn't for me" to "oh, but I can do this" — deserved to be offered to everyone: to employees, freelancers, people changing careers, parents, curious retirees.

That's the spirit of the house: here, no one talks down to you. We all started out not understanding a thing.

Frequently asked questions

What is Le Jo de l'IA?

A project that explains artificial intelligence in plain language, for people who aren't in the field. We test the tools, sort out what matters, and translate it all into clear language with hands-on missions — no jargon, no prerequisites.

Who is Jo for?

Everyone: employees who want to use AI at work, overwhelmed freelancers, people changing careers, parents, students, curious retirees. If you've ever felt left behind by AI, you're exactly the person Jo exists for.

Do you need technical knowledge to learn AI with Jo?

None. If you can send a message on your phone, you've got what it takes. Everything is explained like you'd explain it to a friend, step by step — that's our promise: if you don't understand, it's our failure, not yours.

What now?

The best way to find out if Jo is for you: try it. It's free, it takes 30 minutes, and by the end you'll have used AI for real — probably for the first time.
